Purpose of the guideline: Prevention, control and management of Long COVID is a significant public health issue facing the global community. This guide aims to cover the entire lifecycle of Long COVID prevention, control and management, including its definition, epidemiology, the burden of diseases caused in the short and long term, strategies and measures on prevention and control of Long COVID. We systematically reviews literature related to Long COVID up to March 2024 from the PubMed database, synthesizing guidelines, consensus, and recommendations related to Long COVID prevention and control, and summarizing relevant evidence. Additionally, we incorporates the research progress and comprehensive practice in Long COVID prevention and control. After multiple rounds of expert discussions by senior scholars and experts from multiple disciplines including epidemiology, clinical medicine, general medicine, health management, disease prevention and control, community medicine, virology, and psychology, this guide will be developed finally. It includes content on the definition of Long COVID, epidemiology, the short and long term burden of diseases caused by Long COVID, strategies and measures on prevention and control of Long COVID for the entire lifecycle management . The formation of this guide aims to promote the scientific management of Long COVID and enhance public health.
