Purpose of the guideline: Teratozoospermia is one of the most important causes of male infertility. It is defined as a decreased percentage of normal morphological sperm in the ejaculated semen compared to limitation of the reference value. This consensus was initiated by the Reproductive Andrology Group of the Chinese Association of Reproductive Medicine, and written by a consensus committee of reproductive andrological experts. The consensus committee conducts in-depth discussions on teratozoospermia, including the definition and classification of teratozoospermia, possible causes and influencing factors, the selection of individualized treatment options, and patient health management, etc. The main purpose of this consensus is to further standardize the diagnosis and treatment protocol of teratozoospermia, and to provide expert consultations and advices for physicians in reproductive medicine and andrology.
