Purpose of the guideline: |
With the rapid development of perinatal medicine, the survival rate of preterm infants, especially very/extremely preterm infants, has increased significantly. However, the prevalence of brain injury and sequelae in preterm infants has not decreased, and intraventricular hemorrhage, as a major complication of preterm birth, is one of the main factors causing this situation. Severe intraventricular hemorrhage can lead to complications such as posthemorrhagic ventricular dilatation and posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus, leading to neurodevelopmental disorders and causing heavy burden to family and society. At present, there are no guidelines or consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of posthemorrhagic ventricular dilatation and posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus in China. We formulated this expert consensus in order to provide theoretical and practical guidance for those engaged in neonatal diseases, and further improve the level and standardization of the diagnosis and treatment of posthemorrhagic ventricular dilatation and posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus. |
