| Purpose of the guideline: | The Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) is an effective treatment for advanced heart failure and has been gradually promoted in China. This expert consensus summarizes the latest knowledge and standards on pre-explantation preparation and evaluation, surgical techniques for explantation, in-hospital post-explantation management, and long-term management. It aims to guide the standardized application of LVAD explantation in clinical practice. To facilitate cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and critical care physicians in becoming familiar with and mastering the scientific methods of LVAD explantation, the China Ventricular Assist Device Expert Consensus Committee has formulated this consensus. |
