Purpose of the guideline: With the recent development and improved accessibility of whole-body MRI (WB-MRI), this imaging technique has contributed significantly to the diagnosis, tumor burden evaluation, therapy response assessment and prognosis prediction in patients with MM. To standardize and guide the clinical application of WB-MRI in multiple myeloma (MM) in China, Chinese experts in the relevant fields drafted this expert consensus on the basis of comprehensive review of the literature and careful consideration for the clinical needs in China, so as to promote the popularization and standardized use of WB-MRI in MM.
