Purpose of the guideline: Necrotizing soft tissue infections (NSTIs) are mainly characterized by skin and subcutaneous soft tissue necrosis. The early symptoms are non-specific, the disease progresses rapidly, and infectious shock often leads to multiple organ failure, which is highly lethal and disabling. However, there is no guideline or consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of necrotizing soft tissue infection in China, which leads to the lack of unified understanding and due norms for medical staff at all levels of hospitals. For this reason, it is urgent to formulate the expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of necrotic soft tissue infection in line with clinical practice, improve the diagnosis and treatment level, and ultimately reduce the mortality.
