Evaluation of Chinese Clinical Practice Guidelines Published in Medical Journals in 2019 was published in Medical Journal of Peking Union Medical College Hospital in June 7, 2021. As the beginning article of the second issue of the "Clinical Practice Guidelines" column, this article provides an overview of the main content of the series. That is, by taking the Chinese guidelines published in domestic and foreign journals in 2019 as the research object, this research conducts a comprehensive investigation and in-depth analysis of the development status of Chinese guidelines, elaborates the main and common problems, and puts forward targeted solutions. Seven aspects are analyzed in this study, focusing on the formulation of guidelines, conflicts of interest, citation, evidence quality and recommendation strength, methodological quality and reporting quality, research gaps, and dissemination and implementation of guidelines. It is expected to provide reference for the guideline developers, users and evaluators in China.
