Purpose of the guideline: According to report on cardiovascular health and diseases in China 2019,cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in both urban and rural areas. Dyslipidemia is the most important pathogenic risk factor in the development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Nutritional intervention plays an indispensable role in the treatment of hyperlipidemia. Reasonable nutrition intervention strategy is very important to improve the clinical outcome of patients and reduce the economic burden of health. Therefore, we organized and developed this expert consensus to guide clinical medical staff to prevent and treat dyslipidemia and reduce the occurrence and development of ASCVD.
