Purpose of the guideline: Cervical radiculopathy (CR) is the most common type of cervical spondylosis and conservative treatment is the mainly treatment of this type of disease. As an effective treatment for radiculopathy of CR, Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), especially Chinese manipulation, has unique therapeutic advantages and widely recognized by scholars at home and abroad. Although domestic guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cervical radiculopathy have been issued, the previous guidelines already cannot guide doctors in clinical practice effectively due to time constraints. With the massive increase in patients in recent years and the extensive development of clinical research, it is significance to formulate a new evidence-based guidelines for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CR. This guideline is revised on the published guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cervical radiculopathy (ZYYXH/T409-2012) and updates the recommendations and classification of evidence for some treatment measures for CR. This guideline aims to provide guidance and reference about diagnosis and treatment of CR for relevant clinicians and practitioners and guide the prevention and treatment of this disease and the promotion and application of superior therapies better in future.
